Ductless Mini Splits
Also known simply as a “mini split”, ductless mini splits are a versatile alternative to a central AC or heat pump system. These compact split systems divide their components into two distinct parts: an indoor air handler and an outdoor compressor.
The main difference between a traditional HVAC system and a mini split system is that the traditional HVAC is connected through a series of ducts, while mini splits are separate pieces confined to the room or zone you mount them in (hence the “ductless” part of the name).
People tend to use mini splits in their home or business when they want more adaptability for their heating and cooling. They’re often found in room additions, basements or attics, converted garages, and enclosed porches.
